Mr. Jawaid Ali is an Audit and Finance professional with more than 4 decades of cross cultural experience in managing audit, accounts and finance operations. He holds bachelor degrees in Commerce and Laws from Kanpur University, India and Chartered Accountancy (intermediate) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He is presently working as Chief Internal Auditor with Saudi Maintenance Company, (Siyanco) Limited, Riyadh (KSA) and has also worked in the Internal Audit Departments of India’s renowned Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India, Kanpur and UP State Spinning Mills Company Limited, Kanpur. He has attended various Seminars related to commercial banking, finance and treasury functions etc in Saudi Arabia and Dubai (UAE). He demonstrated business acumen in leading and managing the audit/finance operations and contributed higher rate of organic growth. He has proven ability in improving operations, enhancing business growth & maximising profits through the achievements in finance management, internal controls & productivity improvements. He has dealt with a team of professionals / Banks / Financial Institutions / Insurance Companies / Heavy Equipment Suppliers / Engineering Consultants and Contractors of India, Saudi Arabia, China, Korea, USA, UK and Europe. He also visited UK and Europe along with other team members to explore business opportunities for the company more than once. He is also delivering lectures on Audit, Finance, Soft Skills, Professional Grooming, Attitudinal Development & Motivation to the Undergraduate, Post Graduate and Management Students of renowned Universities/Institutes of India and the Middle East in the light of his vast experience in the corporate world. Mr Jawaid’s present job assignments apart from managing Internal Audit department, includes review of the bank finance and Treasury deal Agreements in respect of special credit facilities for long and short term loans of multi million dollars value, supervising and assisting in preparation of project financing forecast and periodical Cash Flow Statements in consultation with the Accounts & Finance Department of the Company and review of L/C documents for imports prior to their submission to the Banks. He also attends bank meetings and coordinates in respect of the project finance. Mr. Jawaid is also assigned to review all bids, contracts and sub-contracts including purchase of Heavy Equipment like Quayside Gantry Cranes, Rubber Tyred Gantry Cranes, Forklifts, Head Trucks & Chasis etc from foreign and local suppliers, construction of buildings and berths etc at seaports before their final award by the Company for the supply and services and submit opinion and/or recommend modifications/changes to minimize the risk factors therein. He has also drafted the Commercial Terms Agreements for the purchase of aforesaid heavy equipment and improvement of seaport’s berths worth 150 Million US Dollars.
