Ms. Jimy Mathew is an Associate Fellow of Higher Education Academy (UK). She is currently working in the capacity of an Academic Tutor at SQA, RAK Campus. She has achieved The National Progression Award SCQF Level 6 in Data Science. Her research interests are in various computing fields like Data Science with Python, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Web Technologies. Her research on “Disease Prediction using Machine Learning” was awarded the best paper in “The International Student Research Confluence, May 2022” organised by Manipal University Dubai. She also heads the Student Enhancement Cell (SEC) and Student Tutoring Cell (STC) which is a part of ACE (Academic Centre of Excellence). ACE is a dedicated space where students and faculty seek advice and support from specialist staff and counsellors. She has been instrumental in spearheading student led internship projects, as well as Student Academic and Skill Enhancement development programs. In addition to her role, she is actively involved in research leading Industry Projects to make students employable ready. She is also the Editor in Chief for the University’s Publicity and Communications committee leading a team of content editors thereby providing insights into the current and proposed events and happenings at the Campus through periodic communications out-reaches with all the stakeholders as well as providing a glimpse into the Campus’ community life which include the ‘students’ voice’ conveying their perceptions, suggestions and feedbacks of the campus activities thus extending inclusivity.
